We provide education, legal insight, and local connections to help you invest wisely, operate ethically, and make a positive impact. Whether you're buying land, starting a business, or looking to give back — BFIA is your bridge to doing it right in Bali.
BFIA exists to bridge the gap between foreign investors and the realities of doing business in Bali. Our mission is to educate, guide, and empower international investors with the tools, knowledge, and connections they need to invest legally, ethically, and successfully in Bali.
We are committed to being a trusted support system — helping investors navigate land laws, lease structures, business permits, and cultural nuances with clarity and confidence. More than just guidance, we aim to foster meaningful collaboration between foreigners and local communities, ensuring every investment contributes to the greater good of the island.
Through strategic education, community building, and impact-driven initiatives, we strive to elevate the standard of foreign investment in Bali — from transactional to transformational.
We envision Bali as a global example of ethical and conscious investment — a place where foreign investors are not just participants in the economy, but valued contributors to the island’s long-term well-being. At BFIA, we see a future where investment is not only profitable, but purposeful — where every business built uplifts the local community, respects the culture, and protects the natural beauty of the island.
We aim to foster a thriving ecosystem where international investors feel supported, educated, and empowered — and where locals benefit from genuine partnerships, opportunities, and sustainable growth. Our vision is to co-create a Bali where prosperity is shared, trust is foundational, and impact is lasting.

de Souza Grover Anastatius — known simply as Anastacio — is a driving force in Indonesia’s business and investment ecosystem. A seasoned expatriate since 2006, he began his journey in Indonesia by ascending to senior executive roles in the nation’s mining industry. But that chapter was only the foundation.
With over two decades of regional business leadership, Anastacio’s post-mining career showcases a bold and strategic entrepreneurial spirit. From launching an eyewear manufacturing facility in Indonesia’s Free Trade Zone to scaling seafood export operations and developing a biomass energy venture, he has repeatedly transformed complex ideas into thriving enterprises. His ventures span Indonesia and Southeast Asia, covering manufacturing, logistics, agribusiness, bioenergy, and professional services.
When the global pandemic struck, Anastacio took a rare pause and relocated to Bali in 2021. Even in semi-retirement, he quickly became a behind-the-scenes advisor and trusted sounding board for both local and foreign entrepreneurs. In 2024, he re-entered the business landscape with renewed momentum, establishing multiple ventures under his holding company—most notably Aspire Consulting Services, a strategic advisory firm focused on legal structuring, immigration, taxation, and investment services for foreign-owned businesses entering Indonesia.
Recognized for his ability to execute where others hesitate, Anastacio blends deep regulatory knowledge with hands-on operational excellence. Foreign investors rely on him to decode policy, navigate bureaucracy, and deliver tangible results. At the same time, Indonesian authorities and local partners value his credibility, long-standing presence, and unwavering commitment to ethical, impactful growth.
Today, as with his colleagues at the Bali Foreign Investors Association, Anastacio channels his expertise into building a collaborative platform for foreign investors with real opportunities in Indonesia. His mission is clear: to elevate investor confidence, champion policy dialogue, and forge a trusted bridge between global capital and Indonesia’s future—starting with Bali.
